Seasonal food

Hi, this is Hitomi @ Shinjuku Business Garden。
I introduce Japanese seasonal food today.

"Kuri-Okowa" this is sticky rice with chestnuts.
"Okowa" means hard rice which is made from "Mochi-gome" sticky rice.
It is uniqu in texture like mocchiri.
Chestnut is in season now so "Kuri-Okowa" is the seasonal food in autumn.

Mochi-gome and chestnuts are slightly sweet, so Kuri-Okowa is very popular with women.
Of course I love it.
My mum makes it every autumn and it is homemade taste for me.

Autumn comes, I always remember that my mum's "Kuri-Okowa"
