Hot spring trip to Hakone

Hi, This is Sakura from Yotsuya Business Garden.

I went on a hot spring trip to Hakone with my friends the other day.

This is a Japanese inn named Hatago-Ichinoyu where we stayed at.

It's a good atmosphere, isn't it?

This is our room.

There was a hori-gotatsu (a foot warmer built into a floor) in our room.

We finally played cards together:)

We had a big dinner.

It was soooo delicious!!!

After dinner, we got in a hot spring and it was reserved.

We had a luxurious time♪

Next day, we rode on a rope way from Togendai to Owakudani.

On the way to Owakudani, we found Mt,Fuji !!

Look at this !!

What a excellent view !!

After we arrived at Owakudani, we had a Kuro-tamogo.(the specialty eggs of

 Owakudani hot springs in Hakone)

It is said that it will add seven more years to your life if you eat one !

We fully enjoyed Hakone so please visit there if you have a chance.

I'm sure you can relax and refresh.

Have a nice weekend!!

Some people have come up with the idea of cooperation work!

We had a great fun!
Thank you for coming and we're planning for the next exchange meeting on Summer.

Blue Burger at the cafe.

The first time to visit Tokyo Skytree station !

Hello,
I am Meg from Business Garden Yotsuya Annex.
Last week I was invited by one of my friends event
and I got off the train at Tokyo Skytree station !

Skytree  was very near, so big and beautiful!

The other electric decoration Sorakara-chan etc.was also wonderful
comparing to the electric decoration of the other town

I found a Moomin Cafe's back wall with their character illustration in the Tokyo Skytree station.

To my regret, I did not have enough time to come up to the top observation deck!

Utsunomiya Pot Stickers!

Hello everyone! This is Takashima from Business Garden.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to watch a movie on Saturday, but before talking about it, let me talk about our last stop at our Tochigi trip that I've been talking about in my last 2 posts here! : )

After enjoying strawberry picking and visiting Nikko Tosho-gu, we stopped by in Utsunomiya, which is very famous for pot stickers : 9

There are several popular pot sticker places in the city, and we tried the most famous one called Min Min.

Loot at these crispy pot stickers! Yummm!!

Well, to be honest, I personally prefer the pot sticker with ''wings'' in Kamata, which I think is a competitive pot sticker city.
But yes, I must say that Utsunomiya pot stickers were as good as those in Kamata with a bit different style ; 9

Ok then, have a wonderful rest of the week! : )

Yebisu Beer Museum

Hi!

This is Ryoko from Yostuya Business Garden.

Do you like Japanese beer?

There is an enjoyable place called "Yebisu Beer Museum" in Ebisu.

Big Yebisu beer cans welcome us at the entrance.

This character is Yebisu, the god of wealth.
He holds a fish called Tai (sea bream) and a fishing rod in his hand.

You can try some types of different beers.

The displays of the beer history were quite interesting.

See you on next Thursday!

Nikko Tosho-gu!

Hello everyone! This is Takashima from Business Garden.

As I wrote a bit about strawberry picking last week, I went on a short trip to Tochigi with my friends for the 3-day weekend, and I'm going to talk about our next stop, Nikko Tosho-gu, today.

Nikko Tosho-gu is a Shinto shrine, dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate.

Five structures of the shrine are determined as national treasures of Japan, and it was one of the most beautiful shrines that I'd ever visited so far!

The last one is probably one of the most famous structures at the shrine, the three wise monkeys, which is a traditional symbol of Japanese culture. The curving was actually a little bit smaller than I though it would be but was impressive indeed!

It takes about only a couple of hours from central Tokyo by car and is highly recommended for your one day trip on a sunny weekend with your friends, family, or your loved ones! ; )

Have a wonderful rest of the week!!

Traditional Japanese cuisin, Washoku

Washoku, traditional Japanese cuisine, has been widely loved by the world recently. In December 2013, it was granted the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage designation.

Of cource, I love the tastes of Washoku, but also I really like the great-looking of dishes!

These dishes are very beautiful, aren't they?

I ate the traditional style of Washoku after such a long time!
It was the precious time to enjoy good tastes and looking.

What do you think of these new types of Kimono?

Hello,
The cold days has continued, but is everything ok?
I had caught a cold, and I couldn't go out during last three-day weekends.

Coming of Age Day (Seijin-no-hi) in Japan is the second Monday of January.
Young people who turn twenty years old in that year are celebrated on Seijin-no-hi.

Ladies usually wear a traditional formal kimono called Furisode at the ceremony. I enjoyed watching Ladies Furisode every year.

What do you think of these new types of Kimono?

These kimonos are not accepted by old type women, like me.
I took this picture at Kimono store of Kichijyouji PARCO.

Maybe I think that someday these type of kimono will be an ordinary style,
However, in Heisei ages for young ladies I recommend traditional style of Kimono.

Yuhuin Stained Glass Museum

Hi!

This is Ryoko from Yostuya Business Garden.

During my new year holiday, I went to Yuhuin in Oita prefecture which is a popular spa town.
I spent a day here and visited the Yuhuin Stained Glass Museum.

This is a comprehensive stained glass museum.
Also, the church stands next to it.
Visitors can see how light from stained glass changes by the position of the sun.
There is also a tearoom and a shop.

The whole museum is decorated with antiques directly imported from England, ranging from exterior bricks to interior furnishing goods.

I really wanted to show you the inside of the museum and beautiful stained glasses, however taking pictures was not allowed.

So, please drop by if you have chance to visit Yuhuin!

See you on next Thursday!

Another Cat Cafe

Hi, this is Shibuya Business Garden.

I've been to another cat cafe last month.

Most of the cats here are rescued from shelters.
They are so playful that I am the one to be exhausted at the end of the day.

Let her sleep for now.
She must be in the sweet dreams:P

When looking from under this transparent bridge, paws of the cat can be seen clearly!

Put him into sleep.

Strawberry Picking!

Hello everyone! This is Takashima from Business Garden.

I hope you all had a wonderful 3-day weekend!
I was actually working on Saturday, so it was just a regular 2-day off for me, but I went on a one day trip with my friends to Tochigi on Sunday and had so much fun!

Our first stop was a strawberry field in Utsunomiya.
It was my first time to pick strawberries, and I got so excited like a little child : )

Look at these strawberries! An old lady taking care of the strawberry field told us that all the strawberries were so ripe to be picked and that it was the best season for strawberry picking since it was so warm (actually it was even hot) inside the greenhouse : )

After strawberry picking, we stopped at Nikko Toshogu, a very famous Shinto shrine located in Nikko. I'll talk about it next time ; )

Have a great rest of the week!
