Although Ryu-gu-kutsu that I wrote about on my last post is my most favorite spot in Izu area, I'm going to introduce another beautiful spot from my latest Izu trip.
Chikurin-no-komichi is a beautiful walkway connecting the Katsura-bashi and the Kaede-bashi, which are both famous for the beautiful shapes and the vivid red color symbolizing the beauty of Japan.
Chikurin-no-komichi
Katsura-bashi
The path is opened 24 hours for free, and it would be great if you grab something to drink or eat at some of the tea places and Japanese pastry shops around the area while taking a walk through the path (there's a wide bamboo bench at the center of the path so you can lie on the bench and take a rest).
I tried a Tofu frozen yogurt with Wasabi at one of the Japanese pastry shops around the Katsura-bashi. The tast was ah... ok ;p
Have a nice week!
