March 3rd is the day to celebrate growth of young girls.
(Celebration day for young boys is May 5th.)
If you have daughters, display dolls called hina ningyo at home.
They are beautiful like the picture below.
You need lots of time and effort to display these dolls though it is nice to see them just once in a year!
