Shrines of Shimonoseki Part.2

Today I show you some pictures of Akama Shrine.

It is dedicated to Antoku, a Japanese emperor who died as a child in the Battle of DannoUra.
　　

The colours and style of the gate looks like Ryugujou. 

(a fairy-tale castle in the old Stories of Japan)

This is Miminashi Houichi statue.

The small museum of Miminashi Houichi and Akama shrine.
