Some of the most popular are・・・・
The 'Ramen' stall
The 'ramen' (Chinese noodle) seller a active late at night,
when the pubs, clubs, bars, and other drinking places begin to
close, and the drinkers want a light snack before wending
their way home.
The 'Tako-yaki' stall
'Tako-yaki' are a popular snack

They consist of wheat dumplings containing pieces of octopus,

Interesting Japanese custom Vol.28"Japanese and Masks"
When you visit Japan, you will see that many people are wearing masks. Probably, March or April is the peak season because of the hay fever.
Also, there are a lot of people wearing masks in this season because of the cold temperature. Because Japanese are wearing masks immediately for prevention, foreigners may think that the disease is contagious.
At first, you will be surprised. However, you will perceive that this action is not only for the prevention of illness but also the consideration when they get in touch with the other people in a small space.
Though there are various ideas depending on a country, Japanese may be too sensitive to contact with the other people.

LIVING JAPANESE STYLE 'STREET STALLS' Part-2
Many types of street stalls can only be seen in winter.
The 'Oden' stall
'Oden' is a selection of pressed fish cakes, 'tofu', hard-boiled eggs,
seaweed, Japanese radish ('daikon'), etc., boiled in fish stock.
Some vendors move around selling 'oden' only,
while some find a good spot near a station or a busy street
and conduct bueiness as a kind of open-air pub,
selling beer and 'sake' to go with the 'oden'.

Restaurant near Yotsuya Business Garden ⑥Real ramen ‘ToboTobo Tei
This is Meg at Yotsuya Business Garden.
I introduce you a rice gruel and real ramen restaurant ‘ToboTobo Tei’.
One of my favorite menus is ‘Wantan Noodles’.‘Wantan Noodles’ is a Chinese noodles and soups with dumplings.Their Wantan dumplings are amazing! They use lots of spiced meat in hand-maid Wantan, they are different from ready-made Wantan!
The owner of ‘ToboTobo Tei’ originaly worked for a famous real ramen restaurant ‘Chinese Noodle Kouya’ in Yotsuya.
Last year he and his daughter began to start this restaurant near ‘Chinese Noodle Kouya’Kouya. 'ToboTobo Tei’ and 'Kouya' is like a family. their soup taste is almost same.
This real ramen taste is good old taste.
Sometimes I have an urge to eat these real ramen sometimes!
This restaurant is also crowded at lunch time, but I think it is worth to wait.
Please try!

LIVING JAPANESE STYLE ' STREET STALLS ' Part-1
A variety of street stalls ('yatai') and itinerant vendors
can still be seen in Japan, both in the cities and in the country.
The most familiar of these vendors is the 'ishiyaki-imoya', or
hot potato seller.
'Satsumaimo'(sweet potatoes) are baked on a bed of
hot pebbles and sold to the cry of ''Yaki-imo...oishii...yaki-imo''
(''Baked potatoes ...delicious...baked potates'').
Baked sweet potatoes are a popular tea-time snack in winter.

Restaurant near Yotsuya Business Garden ⑤Real ramen Sunny Tomato-men
This is Meg at yotsuya Business Garden.
Today’s restaurant is a very popular ramen restaurant, Sunny Tomato-men.
This restaurant was introduced by many magazines and TV shows.
You often see long queues of people waiting in front of this restaurant at lunch time.
I ordered Sunny Tomato-men, and boiled egg with soy sauce at this time.
It looked like Italian foods; however it was different from Italian pasta, it was non-oily.
The soup is soft taste, easy to drink.
After eating Sunny Tomato-men, I usually eat ‘After ramen risotto, Ra-rizo’.
‘After ramen risotto, Ra-rizo’ was very, very, very delicious comparing to real ramen.
It is my most favorite menu! To tell the truth, I just want to eat only ‘Ra-rizo’!
It is hot rice with fried onion, garlic, and basil sauce, and real ramen tomato soup.
These spices are the reason it is good.
Please try to eat!
