I had a burger and french fries with craft beer＾＾
They were all really good!!

【Setsubun : Fortune sushi roll making Party】

Hi, This is Ryoko from Shimbashi Business Garden.

February 3rd is the day of Setsubun.

The literal meaning of the word Setsubun is “division of the seasons,Setsubun signifies the ending of winter and the beginning of spring.
It is believed that "oni"(a devil-like creature from Japanese folklore) comes when the seasons change in Japan.

There are many rituals to exorcise these oni.

To get rid of the oni, people scatter roasted soy beans both inside and outside of their houses.The phrase “Out with the devil! In with good fortune,” is said when throwing soybeans.

Once the beans are thrown, gather them all up and eat the same number of beans as your age. Eat one extra to keep you from sickness and stay healthy for the whole year.

If you are interested in Setsubun, you can join this party!

Fortune sushi roll making Party on 29th, January 2016（Fri） at Sakura Hotel jimbocho

Hi, how is everyone?

Do you know the Japanese traditional event called Setsubun on the February 3rd?

We eat ehoumak, fortune sushi roll and throw beans to get out of devils on this day.

Wen we throw beans, we say "Devils Out! Good Luck In!"

Bean-Throwing is the day before the beginning of spring in Japan, and we have a common traditional ritual that people scatter beans to drive away evil and bring in good luck.

Ehomaki is a long sushi roll which looks like the picture below, and we eat it wishing for the perfect health of the year.


There is a Setsubun event at Sakura Hotel jinmocho!!

Furusato Matsuri Tokyo

Hi,this is Sakura from Shinjuku Business Garden.

I went to Furusato Matsuri Tokyo with my friend last week.

The event was held at Tokyo dome and there are so many kind of food booth.

You can eat local foods all part of Japan!

I found a really delicious yaki-niku restaurant at Shimbashi.

It's called "Dan".

There are 4 chain restaurants of Dan and I went to the second one. (My friend's friend works here.)

It's about 2min to walk from Shimbashi station.

Sooooo yummy and cheap, I really recommend you this restaurant!

The first temple visit of the year

Hi,this is Sakura from Shinjuku Business Garden.

I made the first temple visit of the year on 3rd of January.

The temple was still crowded! Even though I tried to avoid the New Year's Day.

I was waiting for worshipping about 30mins!

After that, I drew a fortune and it said that I would have chukichi(the moderate ruck)!

Beautiful coloring book of a fairly tale

Hi, how is everyone?


It snowed a lot yesterday in Tokyo!
I didn't expect snow because it's been warm winter.

The temperature dropped down so quickly, didn't it?

What terrible was that the public transportation was significantly delayed and it effected many people going to work.
I was the one of those"effected people."


By the way, this is what I was doing during the past weekend.

The coloring book of a fairly tale which is made for adult!

I got color pencils, too.

It's been such a long time since I used them for color activity.

The inside of the book is like this.

Such a sensitive lines to draw.

I started coloring this picture around the noon and it takes almost a day to finish.

You need to concentrate on the complicated thin lines when coloring.

Oh, I got lots of pressure on my shoulder!

Here is an another page that I finished coloring the other day.

It is fun to do once in a while especially when you don't feel like going out.

I went there to take a break at tea time with a married couple who are my friends.

It was really good^^

How did you spend your new years holiday?

I went to Yebisu Garden Place for lunch with my family. 

            

The view from the restaurant was wonderful!

We could see Tokyo tower and Mt.Fuji in the distance.         

A colorful and lovely appetizer.

Sashimi is my favorite!

The main dish was sukiyaki.Tastes good!!
I was really satisfied with a luxurious lunch：）
