Mt. Takao

Hi!

This is Ryoko from Yostuya Business Garden.

Last Thursday, I had a day off and went to Mt. Takao with my friend.

Mt. Takao is very popular among young and old people because of its easiness to climb.
It's only about an hour from the Shinjyuku station on train.
You can chose to use cable cars to get to a half of the mountain.

The road was quite easy.
However, there were some routes that were so hard to climb.

Trees have started to turned red.

There was a shrine and I found interesting things!
Can you guess what this lady's doing?

She was praying to god and went through the circle.
It is said that your prayer would be realized with this.

This was a place for a good match.
5 yen coins were bound by red strings. Do you know why this coin?
5 yen pronounce "Goen" in Japanese, and it also means "good match".
So, people especially women tie 5 yen coins by praying for their new partners.

Finally, we got to a top!!

The view was breathtaking beautiful.

On the way to the base, we used a lift.
This was fun, too.

See you on next Thursday.
